Flight 1B Notables

We have a few familiar faces in the crowd today at the Pearl River Poker Open main event.

Most notably is our friend Tom 'Captain' Franklin.  Captain, as he would prefer to be called, started his poker career in the 70's and has been on the grind ever since.  With an incredible career live earnings of just over $3 million, he is ranked #1 in his home state of Mississippi.  Captains best live cash came back in 2005 at the Fourth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic, a $5,150 buy-in tourney in which he took 1st for a prize of just over $434,000.

While this was his best live cash, it most certainly wasn't his most coveted.  In 1999, Captain was able to take down a $2,500 Limit Omaha event at the WSOP, earning himself $104,000 and the ever-so sought after gold bracelet.

Another notable here, that is well known here in the Choctaw area, is Jonathan Hart.  Jonathan has amassed a career earnings of $214,000 in live play, with his most notable being a $39,000 score back in January, 2014 at the Million Dollar Heater down in Biloxi, MS
